I enjoy been letting my daughter use my prehistoric laptop to tote back and forth between my house and my ex's to due homework on and play the ocasional winter sport like Civ 2, keep under surveillance a dvd or play hearts (pavilion n3402). Her little brother busted up the baggage and screen. I picked up a n3270.
Same unsophisticated computer and the parts are interchangeable. I was going to verbs everything from the older, faster system and switch it over, but within reviewing the specs I think the amd system may hold a better graphics adapter.
The AMD 475 is using an 8mb trident agp while the p3 633 is using a 2d adapter with no 3d or mpeg decoders built contained by.
The speeds are so between that I am thinking that there really won't be a benefit any way.
(I be going to get her a foreign laptop, but I don't want to get this one destroyed - she is one and only 12 and has a 4000+ amd athlon 64 desktop to use at my house as very well.)
Which would be faster, an amd K6-2-P 475 @ 100 mhz fsb or Pentium 633 @ 66 mhz?
i wuld use the amd although i prefer intel...:D but u also hav to remember things like strike etc jst havin a faster processor wont make the notebook faster if it has low run into or fsb etc
I prefer AMD but if you want to know which is the faster processor multiply the front side bus with the MHz. The one beside the larger number in the train will perform better. Also the trident adapter even though its not really dutiful for any of today's games will out perform the other one, and let not forget the other guys answer about hit. The ram speed is impressively important to appropriate performance. You should be capable of pick up some good used run into from eBay.
