Why are laptops harder to upgrade?

Why are laptops harder to upgrade?

They aren't harder to upgrade, a moment ago more expensive to do it.

The machines are smaller, cases are made specifically for manufacturers, so the parts that progress in them enjoy also got to be made to fit those cases.

Makers still live next to the idea that one and only the affluent can afford a laptop, and they take full profit of that. Once they become more common, the costs should drop and so will the differences surrounded by sizes and weights.
Probably due to tight space, heat harder to dissipate, components more expensive, etc.
