why cant i install a programme on vista that wants to be installed on xp?

i am trying to install an samsung mp3 player on my laptop, it comes near a disc . however the computer says it wishes windows xp to install(i hold vista premium).

i am also having trouble connecting my tomtom go510,the disc installs but the actuall satnav will not install. the computer suggests that i budge to manufactures website and download driver software, but it still does not seem to be to work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

why cant i install a programme on vista that wants to be installed on xp?

windows vista comaptible software is few and far between at the moment as lots of companys are any late bringing out vista compatible drivers or within are certain hardware bugs still occuring near vista

this happened next to xp when it was first released so dont verbs, samsung will bring out a driver, but from my own experience i use the vista comaptibilty wizard and install xp/98 software through that

try this samsung driver wizard from their website(http://www.samsung.com/support/index.asp... for the mp3 player model number and then enter it surrounded by the appropriate box and you should find the driver

good luck mate
its possible that the hardware wants other drivers to run with Xp afterwards Vista, i think you should stop by the website of samsung and tomtom to find the newest drivers, or if they don't own them (yet) send them an e-mail around it.
Vista is 64 bit ready,xp is 32 bit
completely different platforms my friend, suggest you move about to phone co website and see if they have updated applications for vista, except, contact them and ask when they will!

Hope this helps
