GET A MAC they are far more reliable and very flowing to use.
don;t buy dell, or gateway or hp. they have outsourced customer service that only just speak english. i was on the phone for over an hour near one indian guy named 'sam' and 55 minutes of that send for was me asking, 'huh', 'what', 'say that again', 'speak english'.

it be a simple problem that could have be fixed in smaller number than 5 mins if the support tech spoke english.
first you decide your requirements--decide thier priority, similar to programming first, gaming then, watching movies subsequent OR database activity first , music, and movies close to that and most importantly how portable do u need that to be. Then fittingly decide cpu, memory and HDD dimensions and other features. Today most of the laptops come with tons default features close to wireless lan, usb ports etc.,. So, the deciding factor are cpu, memory and HDD. Don't be bothered about smaller blind size.It will not make much difference practically unless you want it to be desktop replacement. once you opt your req after some market research post your choices surrounded by some forum or here, so that people will help out to choose best.
